The Gateway to the west is a great spot for a family vacation or a romantic weekend away!

 

The iconic Gateway Arch welcomes you to this amazing city full of history, sports, museums, animals, great food and drink.

Reserve your spot early for a memorable (albeit a little shaky) ride in the tram up to the top. The area around the arch is free and wide open, allowing you to picnic and play before you get the perfect photo opps as you take in the height and shimmer of the arch. Right by the river, you can also walk down to the water's edge and see the great Mississippi or walk across the street to the courthouse where the famous Dred Scott decision was made.

The perfect spot for an affordable getaway, St. Louis is said to provide more free major visitor attractions than anywhere in the U.S. outside of Washington D.C.

Family Fun

St. Louis is the perfect spot for an affordable family getaway. With so many free options, you can pack your days full without spending a dime! The zoo is fantastic, and while there are a few attractions inside with a fee, most of it is completely free! For even more fun, budget to add in the unbelievable City Museum or, for younger kids, The Magic House.

Food & Drink

Fried ravioli is a must, as is Ted Drewes famous frozen custard! You can't go wrong with the countless Italian restaurants in an area known as The Hill.
